Welcome to South Asian Photo! This blog is dedicated to the photographic arts of Pakistan, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
My name is Betsy and I have an MFA in Photography and an MA in art history from the University of North Texas. My interest in South Asian photography began in graduate school. During this time I was lucky enough to travel to India for three weeks as a research assistant with my art history graduate professor. Since then I have returned to India once, this past October. The majority of my knowledge of South Asian photography is in Indian photo. Through this blog I hope to inform others on the photograph of South Asia as well as gain more knowledge of photography from the region.
