These photographs are montages made from personal family snapshots and found images of Northern India from the internet. This body of work contradicts the traditional notion that photographs represent the “truth”. Today this idea still permeates the snapshot photograph, even though photographs can be constructed from nothing. These montages contradict that the notion of the snapshot “truth”, creating a new more fanciful recreation of my childhood.
